Sutro Stripey Sunset Timelapse
December 2, 2011
Hey Patrick Gibson and Brad Ellis — this is REMARKABLE. SF sunset colors as a time stripe, Sutrofied.
Time running top/down, left/right, about an hours worth. Totally jealous and in awe, wish I’d though of it.
And the original shots in a time grid, a la NSKYC:
Nicely done, gentleman. I want to see the top one as a poster.
These are fantastic shots. The first one is similar to a slit-scan technique.
BTW, I had some Sutro shots from Corona Heights Park that I thought you might like http://www.objectivescenes.com/2011/11/sutro-via-corona/
Yes, I remember those! Very nice. Such a surprising park.
I know I’m a decade late here, so who knows if you will see this, but I am very interested in talking to the artists behind the color grid, second image in this post, about using it on an album cover. I have reached out to the artists linked flickr account with no avail. Again, not surprising as this was a decade ago. Let me know if you have any info. Great post!
alas I don’t — sorry. maybe look for them on Twitter?
