Obligatory Artsy Mission Sunday Streets Shot

(aka me desaturating and contrastifying HDR shots)

I liked the dancing Lucha Libre guy:

Hey, look, a guy on a bike with his iguana in a harness(with ‘Deep on his Trikeasaurus passing by):

I suggested to the SF Bulls that they hold a hockey clinic during the Aug 5th Mission Sunday Streets — if you a Canadian-San Franciscan or Northerly American, bug them on Twitter and get ready to play. Anyone have a net? BIIIIIIKE!

(I’ve imagined a Canadian entry in Carnaval — basically a bunch of people playing street hockey as the parade goes by. Who’s in?)

After seeing pics of this and whatnot, I realize what a colossal dud the Great Highway Sunday Streets was. Putting August 5th on my calendar for sure.

It appears you don’t understand what HDR is all about. By definition, “Contrastifying” an image reduces dynamic range. The whole purpose of creating an “HDR” image (from multiple exposures) is to boost dynamic range. You could have simply taken *one* of your HDR exposures, “Contrastified” it, and came up with exactly the same result as you’ve posted here.

Dude — two color shots, bracketed, merged as HDR. I then converted to black and white. Thanks for playing.

‘Deep’ is the douchebag that dragged the marina to the The Mission
