Que Seurat Seurat

Just ran across a new blog (to me at least), We Built This City, written by an East Bay escapee who has recently sought refuge in Glen Park and seems to spend much time in the Mission.

Reasons I like WBTC:

1) Nice, Iconic Ironic Blog Name

2) Likes Chad VanGaalen

3) Appreciates Low Rez Photography

4) Frequently Mentions Food and Sandwiches

5) Has Good Pictures of the Mission (hadn’t really noticed the Seurat Dolores before, 19th/Guerrero)

WBTC Receives the BJSoA (Burrito Justice Seal of Approval).

Wow thanks, BJ! I do indeed spend too much time in the Mission — all my friends live there, but alas, I have two dogs and a cat, so my rental options were somewhat limited… So I live Mission-adjacent, ride the one BART stop or drive the 3 minutes.

No such thing as too much time in the Mission! (Well, maybe there is, but fuck that, I like it here.)

And we like Glen Park, it’s like our little sister.

Cool story about the Mission Cole Hardware guys helping the Glen Park Hardware guys get started. Rarely have I seen so many happy people in one spot.

Funny thing, I bought some stuff at that Cole Hardware a few Sundays ago (since GP Hardware is closed Sundays) and (because I was asking a lot of questions about where things were) I explained that I had just moved to Glen Park, and the checkout guy told me the whole story. So much love in the ‘hoods!

Nice SF Weekly writeup on Daniel Doherty, artist responsible for Seurat Dolores
