Oh man, I am seriously bummed I missed this epic burger/dessert:

I think I may have an “Important Business Meeting” at the Ferry Building every Thursday. If BART is on strike I will be livid.

Dear god, those lines look like some sort of bacon weather map.

Remember “Bill,” our mysterious bacon potato chip making friend from Dolores Park?

Shocking as this may seem, he is on Twitter as @BaconPotatoChip. For those of you who missed him in Dolores Park last weekend, he will be at the Street Food for Singles foodcartpalooza tomorrow night.
And he got a nice writeup by the SFoodie folks at SF Weekly.
He slices and fries up ordinary russets in vegetable oil, but with an innovation sure to send a ripple through the hearts of the LDL-unconcerned: He tosses bacon into the oil. When the chips are drained and seasoned, the fried and crumbled bacon joins them, with an extra piece on top. Just for eye candy, as it were.
That extra piece of bacon on top is what makes Bill our Crispy Food Marketing Scientist of the Month. Bravo, Bill, Bravo.

Big day for pigs in the park:

(That’s a BBQ on the bottom of my inadvertently cropped shot, in case you can’t tell.)
And then there was “Bill” selling his delicious bacon potato chips. Note my totally intentional use of shadow and exposure to protect his identity from the food authorities, never mind the feared Ryan “Chiccarones” Farr).

They were still warm. Mmmm….

Great review of MSF in the Chronicle. (Apparently I am a “food blog”. Thus the previous post on floating airliners and panorama software, sure fooled them!)
Sadly my mastery of no-rez photography excluded my images from print. (Seriously — the Chronicle asked for a “higher rez version”, and I’m like, “dude, that IS the high rez…”) Props to Jesse for his mastery of an actual camera and inclusion in a printed publication.
Most interesting part of the article:
For his part, Myint thinks he’s hit on a model that can last. He recently gave notice at Bar Tartine to focus more on Mission Street Food. Is he getting rich from this venture? He says the money works out to “roughly the equivalent of what overtime pay would be, for an experienced cook.” Then again, it’s not about the money.
Hooray for MSF! Maybe this means another day a week? (Pure unadulterated speculation on my part…)
As for next week, oh dear god, I think my head just exploded:
BBBLT: Braised Benton’s Bacon, Lettuce, Baked Tomato, Aioli on a homemade flatbread – $6.
Ahhh, yes, Señor Benton returns with his Bacon lovingly wrapped in flatbread. Who can’t say no to this?

This should be a good one, as I’m bringing a bunch of guys from my company’s overseas offices to eat this beautiful creation. (And Great Scott, fried chicken!)

While I am currently surrounded by real snow…

…Mission Street Food will be delivering Bacon Snow to a Make-Out Room near you while Santa gears up.

I am pretty sure there was a fourth king bearing bacon snow, but he was late. (Not that I would be with only a $10 cover.)
If you can’t handle the snow, then there’s always Beer and Nosh’s no-less-traif bacon candy.

When the low in SF hits the 40s or so, nothing warms you up quite like Bacon Snow.

No, this is not a Denny’s in the mid 80s — Handsom Kevin was not seen.
I love sake in cans. But in all honesty nothing quite compliments pecan pie quite like powdered sugar with that subtle hint of, oh, bacon. How I didn’t spit sake over the pie when I saw the mirror I do not know.
Good menu all around. Sausages were great, and La Lengua, wow.

I admire Ryan Farr’s aggressive use of bacon this week. And la lengua (while not libre) is best served corned.
