I’d always thought that Thiebaud’s works were inspired by SF streets, but not realistic depictions of them. There’s one hanging in my father’s office (um, a poster of one!) that I SWORE was Dolores St but really just was very strongly in that style. Art historians, any thoughts?

I used to pass that house while walking my dog. I liked to imagine that it’s actually a fake facade built around and on top of one of those teeny humdrum typical bernal houses from the 20s (sic?). So, if you opened the front door of that thing, there’d be another tiny house inside where the people actually lived.
